I am running for state rep because as a state-border district, we can no longer afford to outsource jobs to Massachusetts.
New Hampshire has resisted pushes to institute both personal income and sales taxes, but we do levy higher corporate income and business profit tax rates than our neighbors to the south. Our state also has a higher meals tax rate, which is why there are so many restaurants on the Massachusetts-side of the border. These higher tax rates significantly discourage growth in our district. As a civil engineer with a background in municipal infrastructure and as an elected member of the Plaistow Planning Board I know that we can encourage economic development while simultaneously preserving our way of life. Send me to Concord to slash these tax rates and together we can return the advantage to New Hampshire and our district.
